About Fandomfest Louisville
A celebration of all things entertainment, from comic books and literature to television and film, Fandomfest Louisville lets likeminded hobbyists delve into "every possible geek activity imaginable." That includes hobnobbing with celebrities from throughout geek culture during autograph sessions and panels. Some guests confirmed to appear include the likes of Carrie Fisher, Billy Dee Williams, and Peter Mayhew from Star Wars, Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes of Jay and Silent Bob fame, and actors from the original '90s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies.
Many of the special appearances at Fandom Fest, however, are from guests themselves. Cosplaying is widely encouraged at Fandom, so much so that attendees have the chance to win cash and prizes in eight costume categories. Don't cosplay as a table, though, as guests might confuse you for one of the many vendors in attendance, ranging from comic stores and artists to authors to music exchanges.
