About Fannin Brewing Company

Though the idea for Fannin Brewing Company was hatched on one of owner Tom's trips to Germany, the brewery could hardly be more local. The company gets its grains and water from Fannin County, and it christens its beers with such names as Hiawassee Golden Ale and Toccoa Brown. It even employs a local Blue Ridge folk artist to craft its tap handles instead of importing them from the tropical forest where most handle-shaped branches grow.

Such loyalty isn't surprising, considering the brewery relies so heavily on the region's natural attributes—not only its supply of fresh water, but also its fresh air. Indeed, the beauty of the Blue Ridge area has helped Fannin Brewing quickly become a favorite amongst beer enthusiasts since opening in 2012. Every weekend, fans can taste year-round and seasonal creations inside the brewery's tasting room or while enjoying its dog-friendly tours.
