Featured in publications such as Zagat, Food and Wine, and Oprah magazine, Farmer's Fridge makes eating healthy as easy as stopping at a vending machine—maybe because it is a vending machine. Each Farmer's Fridge kiosk is crafted from reclaimed wood and recycled materials. On the outside, a large, easy-to-use touch screen displays images, nutritional facts, and ingredients of the dozens of salads available inside.

Each morning, Farmer's Fridge staff deliver fresh salads to the machines and retrieve any of the previous day's unsold items to donate to a local food pantry. The environmentally friendly jars allow customers to eat while commuting on the train or shouting commands from the dog sled. Many kiosks also carry snacks, drinks, and various proteins, and the company's catering service ensures parties have plenty of healthy and tasty food.
