Today’s side deal invites you to party for a good cause—or three good causes—with tickets to the annual Fashion Fights Poverty runway show for $37—half off the normal price. This fashion-forward non-profit is celebrating five years of sustainable style with a fundraising event at the elegant Renaissance Mayflower Hotel on Friday, September 25, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Fashion Fights Poverty strives to highlight the designs of emerging and established eco-friendly and ethical fashion designers, while raising money for beneficiary programs that create income-generating and micro-financing opportunities for artisans in developing countries. FFP partners with organizations including Kiva, Millennium Promise, and Trickle Up.

Your ticket gets you:

  • Admission to the event
  • Hors d’oeuvres
  • Admission to the after-party at Midtown Lounge with one-hour open bar

Admire beautiful, ethical new designs with the knowledge that your Groupon is going to build a better world.

Note: Deal does not include seat at the show, or open bar access to the pre-party.

Reviews

Fashion Fights Poverty receives a lot of supportive press in the DC area, including the Minaret Online, Uptown, Planet Green, and the Examiner: > * I think most people know that fashion meeting compassion is one of my favorite categories of do-gooders. The DC-based nonprofit Fashion Fights Poverty is a perfect example of merging fashion and compassion together. FFP missions themselves to raise awareness for initiatives that encourage and support creative, effective, and sustainable means of challenging poverty. – Portia Obeng, DC Charity Examiner > * First and foremost, FFP rewards and recognizes designers and organizations who embrace the powerful potential of creativity and design to address issues of poverty. – Summer Rayne Oakes, Planet Green
