What You'll Get
Welcome to Groupon, Lubbock! For our inaugural deal, you get $10 worth of burgers, hot dogs and more for only $5 at Fat Tony's Delicatessen located at 1101 Main Street in downtown Lubbock. Since this is everyone's first Groupon, allow us to briefly explain how it works.
How Groupon Works
Groupon is a combination of the words group and coupon. Each day, we offer an unbeatable deal on the best of Lubbock: restaurants, spas, sporting events, theater, and more. By promising businesses a minimum number of customers, we get discounts you won't find anywhere else. We call it "collective buying power."
If you want to get the deal, just click BUY before the offer ends at midnight. If the minimum number of people (5 for today's deal) sign up by the end of the day, you'll be emailed a gift certificate the next morning. You can print your Groupons, or redeem them with our mobile app. Use them whenever you want until the deal expires—today's expires in six months. If not enough people join, no one gets the deal (and you won't be charged), so invite your friends to make sure you get the discount!
It's not uncommon for extremely hungry people to confuse their fingers for cocktail weenies, their hairs for spaghetti, or their computer mice for gerbils singing Gershwin tunes in top hats. Dine to fight delirium with today's Groupon: for $5, you get $10 worth of burgers, hot dogs, and more at Fat Tony's Delicatessen, an eight-month old eatery located downtown.
Fat Tony's quilts together tastes of Italy, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Texas to create a menu that is toasty and comforting. Savor sizzled-to-perfection beer-battered onion rings ($3.50) or a Chicago-style Vienna beef hot dog ($3.50) as you work up the nerve to ask Tony to autograph your napkin in archival ketchup. Biscuits & gravy ($2.50) warm bellies during breakfast hours (8–10 a.m.), while tender Philly cheese steaks (beef or chicken, $5.50) emit welcomed siren calls to worker zombies at lunch. The Tony burger, a bun piled with bacon, beef, cheese, and chili, can be scarfed on its own ($4) or as one of Tony's eight meal combinations. Finish your feast with creamy, ricotta-stuffed chocolate chip cannolis, which come in singles ($1.25) and dozens ($12.50) and put simplistic desserts like granulated sugar to shame.
Seven Yelpers give Fat Tony's Delicatessen a four-star average:
