Suzanne leads small groups of six people for photo walks through Vancouver's popular tourist destinations and natural locales including Coal Harbour and the Olympic Village. She begins each photo walk with introductions and a discussion of everyone's favourite style of photography. As they walk, she teaches them about the aperture, ISO light sensor, and shutter-speed settings on their cameras. The students then learn to experiment with these settings, including using them to create blurred-motion pictures. The group will also practice panning shots and stopping falling water in a fountain using only their minds. Throughout the tour, students can photograph whatever inspires them, from moving cars and boats in the marinas, to the delicate details of a flower. The walks are designed for beginners—students need only bring their cameras and artistic eye—though night walks are available for more experienced photographers (tripod required).
