Q:

Just to clarify, the $89 gets a one hour shoot on-site in Harvard Square or the Gardens, one 11x14 print and a digital copy of just one print? Does that mean that you take just one picture during the hour or just that we have to pay extra if we want more than one image (paying $125 per diital picture and $275 per 11x14 print)? Also, do we get to pick which image you print? If yes, will you edit all of them before we choose?

A:

A lot of this question is answered on our FAQs page (felixrust.com then click GROUPON). We spend an hour walking around taking lots of images. Then we meet at our studio in Central Square and and show you about twenty or so images from the shoot. You can pick out your favorite for the print and digital file. If you want more images you can buy the for 25% off our normal print prices and you can buy a CD ROM with all images for 75% off our normal rates. There is no pressure, however, to purchase more images :) All our prices are listed on the FAQ. Thanks!

Q:

Hi - will you book appts on Sat/Sun going out to Oct? Also, we have a rather "active" 4 year old... Are you OK with that?

Sarah L.  asked on  Sep 24, 2012

A:

Our only Saturday in October is the 27th in Harvard Square because we have weddings each weekend in October. Towards the end of October we will be adding weekend dates in November. Harvard Square is a cool place to shoot- there is the Cambridge Common nearby with lots of grass and a playground. We specialize in "active" :)

Q:

How is the value for the one hour package $800? I have never seen a photographer charge anywhere near that for an onsite shoot.

cassie  asked on  Sep 24, 2012

A:

Hi Cassie, Yeah, we are kinda expensive, I know. We charge $400 for a session. One 11x14 is $275. One digital file is $125. That all adds up to $800. We are definitely a low volume, higher priced boutique studio. This Groupon gives you that for $89 and you also get 25% off our regular print prices. Here is a FAQ with all the prices. http://www.felixrust.com/info/portrait-session.html Best, felix

Q:

Do the photographers think one of the Havard Square/Public Gardens shoots would work with babies too young to walk around, ie 5 month old twins?

Wendy M.  asked on  Sep 23, 2012

A:

We can definitely photograph the wee ones. Perhaps bring a blanket to put on the ground. You might also consider the "shoot anywhere" option and have us come to your home. Then we can make some images of your baby's room, toys, etc. and we can work around naps :)
