Welcome to Groupon, Spokane! For our inaugural deal, you get $20 worth of food and drink for $8 at Fiesta Mexicana, located at 1227 South Grand Boulevard. Since this is everyone's first Groupon, allow us to briefly explain how it works.
How Groupon Works
Groupon is a combination of the words group and coupon. Each day, we offer an unbeatable deal on the best of Spokane: restaurants, spas, sporting events, theater, and more. By promising businesses a minimum number of customers, we get discounts you won't find anywhere else. We call it "collective buying power."
If you want to get the deal, just click BUY before the offer ends at midnight. If the minimum number of people (15 for today's deal) sign up by the end of the day, you'll be emailed a gift certificate the next morning. You can print your Groupons, or redeem them with our iPhone app. Use them whenever you want until the deal expires—today's expires in six months. If not enough people join, no one gets the deal (and you won't be charged), so invite your friends to make sure you get the discount!
A tortilla makes a handy mouse pad, an acceptable patch for stiff denim jeans, and, if you draw a face on it, an ideal companion on fishing trips. But there are many other uses for it, as today's Groupon proves: for $8, you get $20 worth of Mexican fare and drinks at Fiesta Mexicana, located on South Grand Boulevard. This Groupon is not valid for online ordering, although customers may call in for delivery (a $5 charge applies).
Fiesta Mexicana offers guests a delicious menu of authentic Mexican cuisine to enjoy inside a colorful and comfortable restaurant setting. Food-fueled lifeforms can feast on a carne azada burrito ($11.95), fashioned with flour, filled with rice, beans, and skirt steak, and fancied up with melted cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole, onions, and a red sauce. The spinach enchilada ($9.95)—a delightful duet between two corn tortillas that features spinach, onions, and mushrooms—pleases palates, as do the carnitas de pollo ($12), a tasty gathering of tender chicken served with guacamole and fresh tortillas. For a special dose of taco tradition, try tacos al carbon ($12.75), which feature sliced beef skirt steak divided among three corn tortillas and enhanced by salsa Mexicana, cilantro, and ranchero cheese. Seafood also makes an appearance on Fiesta Mexicana's menu, with the camarones a la diabla ($13.50), a butter-sautéed catch of large shrimp served with a spicy red sauce, putting a smile on the face of the heart of the taste buds.
Fiesta Mexicana appeals to the eye with bright interiors of amber-stained walls and booths of burgundy melding together in colorful confluence. With today’s Groupon for delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine at Fiesta Mexicana, make amends with your stomach for all those lost years where nary a word passed between the two of you.
