About Filibuster Distillery
Traditional American distilling dictates that liquors be aged in charred oak barrels. Filibuster Distillery thought they'd try something different. Their “Dual Cask” method combines the long-held tradition of new American oak aging with the avant - garde approach of a shorter, secondary aging period in Wine-seasoned French oak. They work with some of the best known wineries in California, including Ramey, Trefethen, Ladera & Cobblestone, and utilize the aromatic and flavor profile of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon to achieve a very unique finish – what they call the “Dual Cask Difference”.
- Dual Cask Bourbon: this bourbon carries notes of caramel and vanilla with a hint of spice at the finish for a complex and powerful taste (45% ABV)
- Dual Cask Gin: Filibuster's foray into clear liquors is a clean and crisp New World-style gin with notes of rosemary and basil complementing the lemon and juniper finish (45% ABV)
