What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition? Fired Up Athletics offers two types of classes -- Body Blaze Boot Camp and Lunch Time Boot Camp. Body Blaze Boot Camp is a total body strength and cardio program designed to burn fat, build and tone muscles, and increase endurance and stamina before going to work. Lunch Time Boot Camp is the same functional exercise program mentioned above; however, it lasts 30 minutes, allowing you to get in and out of the studio while on your lunch break.

Fired Up Athletics stands out from our competition because our classes do more than just muscle isolation. You'll get a full body workout with principles designed to boost mood and overall performance. This translates to feeling better about yourself, reducing anxiety and depression, eliminating stress, and looking good and feeling great. We realize that everyone has their own fitness level; therefore, attendees may work out at their own pace while still achieving fantastic results!

Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged? I keep clients motivated and engaged by listening to what they tell me they want out of the fitness program. Step by step, I guide my clients through their exercise routines. Since this is a group training studio, I not only demonstrate the routine, I do it with them. To keep clients engaged, I talk them through every routine -- the cues, the counting of reps, and keeping proper form. I even encourage and support them by letting them know they’re doing great. This keeps them better engaged in their workout.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business? In a word, passion. I’m passionate about fitness and what it does for the body and for overall well-being. I’m inspired by changing the way people think about fitness by removing fear, intimidation, and the pressure of working out. Motivating my clients is another reason I started Fired Up Athletics. Empowering each person to achieve their fitness goals and to get into the best shape of their lives is the ultimate goal.

What do you love most about your job? Making people feel good about themselves through fitness is what keeps me going. I love seeing the transformation in my clients and hearing about how their overall body composition, self-esteem, and relationships have improved. This is what I love most.

What is the best reaction you've received from a customer? One client that really moved was J.R. She told me that in just one week, her tummy was flatter, her energy was up, and she was getting more sleep. She went from sleeping 4 hours to sleeping 7 hours a night. I gave her a meal plan based on foods she likes, and the was thrilled. Her main concern was breakfast because preparation didn’t fit into her busy morning routine. We discussed options to ensure she ate a proper breakfast, and now she prepares her oatmeal the night before. She eats her breakfast at work and doesn’t get hungry until lunch. She now comes to the studio with a smile on her face and looks forward to her workout. This is why I love my job. I'm watching her transform right before my eyes.
