Like forest fires and Joe Pesci, cravings only intensify when ignored; tend to overdue hunger pains with today’s appetite-exhausting Groupon. For $15, you’ll get $30 worth of American fare at Fired Up Grill, a contemporary eatery in the Casa Paloma Shopping Center.
Fired Up is the Jerry Maguire of restaurants. After manager Joe Busone unexpectedly got the boot from Bucca di Beppo, members of his loyal staff left with him to start up this feisty follow-up specializing in kicky American classics. Start with an order of hand-breaded fresh mozzarella bites (an upgrade from your usual frozen rubbery cheese nuggets, $8.99), the bruschetta ($6.99), or the vegetarian-friendly housemade hummus ($8.99). For dinner, try the chicken Madagascar, two browned breasts smothered in peppercorn cream and sandwiched between risotto and spears of grilled asparagus ($12.99). Fired Up also offers burgers, wraps, pastas, and pizzas. Finish on a sweet note with a pineapple calzone ($7.99) or nostalgic root beer float ($3.99).
Fired Up is open Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., Friday from 3 p.m. to 12 a.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Get this Groupon to support underdog eateries, or sample sophisticated takes on timeless dishes.

AZ Central praised Fired Up’s comfort-food-packed menu, and 90% of Urbanspooners like it:
- It's a friendly, neighborhood spot offering something the corporate restaurants that dominate Chandler can't: a great story. – AZ Central
- The atmosphere at the Fired Up Grill creates a fun family environment with an energetic, friendly and service oriented staff. – PJ, Urbanspoon
- I'm telling you that you have to go there. Everything on the menu looks amazing and it took us about 20 minutes to choose what to eat because we wanted it all and couldn't decide – Ryan, Urbanspoon
What is Fire? And Why?
Fire. What is it? Who is it? Did fire commit voter fraud in order to help narrowly elect President Truman? These are questions that science unfortunately has no answer for—and likely never will. The best guesses of today’s modern fire archeologists are based mostly on binocular-aided fire observation and the shouting of questions at fires, whose answers are specious and hot.
Experts cannot agree on what causes fire or the best method to put fires on stop. The most common method is to “fight fire with fire,” using gigantic magnifying glasses and sunshine. Fire archeologists predict that the next evolution for fire will include living on the moon and becoming sentient, if it hasn’t already.
