It was odd to have to pay for tastings after I had already paid to get in. Of they are going to do that gain they need to disclose it before you purchase the groupon. Or offer diacounts on the items you are trying. I would have had a much better time had I been able to plan ahead and save a bit if money before going there.

Would like to see maybe a higher price like other events of this type, with the purchaser getting an event glass and some tickets for free samples. I'd rather pay the price up front. This is not a Groupon issue.

About First Taste Oregon

Formerly the Oregon Wine, Food & Brew Fest, 2015's First Taste Oregon will showcase the same types of Oregon talent: winemakers, brewers, distillers, and chefs. On Friday, January 23, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Saturday, January 24, from noon to 10 p.m., a fresh lineup of vendors will flood the Oregon State Fair & Exposition Center's Columbia Hall with their pours, suds, and cuisine. Though the final list of exhibitors remains a mystery, participants have included Eastside Distilling—which led a special tasting of its bourbon, vodka, and coffee rum, among others—and demos by several Oregon chefs. Visitors can park in the free lot, and purchase some taste tickets to enjoy similar activities this year.
