During Pilates+Barre classes, a certified instructor focuses on body alignment while leading students of all ages and abilities through cardio exercises, a ballet-based barre workout, and a challenging Pilates routine. Each class includes prop work with such workout-enhancing equipment as resistance bands, Pilates balls, and weights to quickly sculpt tone muscles and build core strength. Monica Rynearson has always had a passion for wellness--she began her fitness career as a YMCA fitness instructor in college, and worked her way up to a career as an operating room technician and health care benefits manager. Because of her extensive health and fitness backgrounds, she was drawn to the alignment- and safety-focused STOTT Pilates method. At Fit4Movement, she teaches clients of all ages and abilities to embrace Pilates’ diverse workout regimen, which pumps up coordination and core strength through a unique blend of cardio, weight resistance, and stretching. Monica combines this body-sculpting Pilates method with other fitness regimens—such as the ballet-inspired Barre method—during her Pilates+Barre class.
Monica holds several certifications, including STOTT Pilates mat and reformer certifications, as well as those for the Barre method and Bohdi Ropes, a core-strengthening suspension system. Though she does not offer group classes in all of these methods, she currently gives one-on-one instruction during private reformer Pilates and Bohdi Ropes lessons.
