A strong man wrestles you to the ground to show off; a stronger man boosts your self-esteem and then accidentally breaks three of your ribs with a supportive hug. Learn the tenets of both strength and community with today's Groupon: for $69, you get a diagnostic body assessment and six weeks of fitness classes at Fit Body Boot Camp (a $448 value) in Greensboro.
Fit Body's boot camps combine a wide variety of exercises, effectively blasting calories, sculpting muscles, and inspiring fitness-seekers to start a healthy lifestyle. Designed to engage both mind and protoplasm, instructors like Katie Kelly keep amateur fitness fanatics on their toes in each 45-minute session with a new regimen of light running, resistance training, core training, obstacle courses, and the ever-popular live crocodile-wrestle circuit. Classes are held Monday through Friday from 5:45–6:30 a.m., 6:45–7:30 a.m., 8:15–9 a.m., and 9:15–10 a.m. In the heat of the workout, exercisers sweat out weakness, fear, and monosodium glutamate while beginning to gain the functional, unsurpassed strength of a body in a fluid, powerful motion.
Drawing from more than 15 years of fitness experience, clinical exercise physiologist Cody Sipe will keep you and your fellow campmates motivated as you run, crawl, and lunge toward health and high-definition muscles. The Groupon also includes a one-on-one fitness and health consultation, in which clients meet with a trainer to discuss their health history, hear advice about fitness goals, and receive information such as body-fat percentage and who they were in a past life. At Fit Body Boot Camp, all equipment is included; participants only need to bring a water bottle and a nonflammable bag to carry the ashes of burnt calories. Space is limited, so call ahead to schedule a session.
