A Chat with Fit Training
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
My name is Thomas Singleton. I've been a fitness trainer for 9 years. I've specialized in aerial training, speed training, athlete training, and general fitness. I believe in having fun while getting motivated to be fit. I am a certified personal trainer by Cooper Institute and attended Mcneese St. for six years in HHP.
Exercise is challenging. How do you keep clients motivated and engaged?
I motivate my clients by giving them the information they need to achieve their goals. I like to verbally motivate, but never in an angry way. I keep the workouts fun and entertaining as to not bore either person. Maintaining a high energy, fun environment is what is successful in my experience.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
My inspiration to start my own business was that I wanted to reach out to people showing them that the norm is not what your life needs to be. We can all live longer healthier lives through nutrition and exercise. My calling is to help people under my terms and those terms are truth and fun.
What do you love most about your job?
I love my job because I change people's lives for the better. I hear new stories everyday regarding positive change in the lives of the people I train sometimes physical and sometimes mental. I can see the glow light up in every face that had seemed to diminish over the years due to poor health.
