Unlike summer camps, boot camps won't require you to put on a fundraising talent show to stop a nefarious computer company from turning Lake Cowabunga into its new industrial-waste depository. Team up to fight unfitness with today's Groupon: for $39, you get a four-week fitness boot camp that meets three times per week at Fitness Inspired Training Studios (an $85 value).
Deemed one of the top three best places to work up a sweat by Salem Weekly in 2010, Fitness Inspired Training Studios’s versatile and intense group fitness camps are designed to whip buttery bone bags into rock-hard constitutions. The total training course links four to eight trainees together in a constantly changing, short, yet intense program that cultivates muscle, aerobic capacity, balance, and core strength—the four chief components of ancient Greek fitness prerequisites to becoming a statue model. Each session encompasses 30 intense minutes of exercises in the clean, sunlit studio and can employ the use of everything from kettlebells, free weights, and machines to mats, stability balls, and a heavy leather couch that refuses to be feng shui-ed.
Whether you're training for a marathon, trying to shed pounds, or taking a method approach to your role in Full Metal Jacket: The Musical , the gym's nationally certified trainers will guide you safely and unerringly toward your target. Check out the online schedule for a full list of class times, which run six days a week in both morning and evening sessions for your calorie-burning convenience.
Five Google Mappers give Fit Studios a perfect five-star average:

- The trainers are more knowledgeable than I ever expected, helping me with nutrition, and making healthier life choices. They are encouraging and helpful at every turn. – glamgirl
Fitness Inspired Training Studios
Writer Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.” This sentiment inspires Evan McDaniel, the certified personal trainer who own Fitness Inspired Training Studios. To propel clients toward their goals both inside and outside the gym, he infuses small-group workouts with a hearty dose of motivation, encouragement, and excitement. McDaniel draws upon fitness-oriented bachelor's degrees and experience working for WebMD to devise an ever-changing lineup of workouts that challenge patrons with bodyweight exercises, cardio challenges, and a variety of functional training tools.
His signature boot camp, Total Training, zeroes in on participants' goals, from slimming down for weddings to gearing up for marathons or thumb-wrestling tournaments. During these 30-minute sessions, exercisers of all levels feed on the moral support of their classmates to heave sandbags, swing kettlebells, jump onto sturdy boxes, and stretch resistance bands. In addition to absorbing fitness and safety tips from the trainers, exercisers receive nutrition coaching, which teaches them how to make healthful food choices and to differentiate between a banana and a Twinkie.
