What You'll Get
Like the framework of a mighty skyscraper, the core helps humans hold up the weight of the sky. Stay firm against the firmament with today's Groupon: for $32, new clients get four Pilates Plus or Combo classes at Fitness Movement in Westlake Village (a $140 value).
Fitness Movement adds strength training and cardio to the core-building regimen of Pilates classes, helping clients melt fat and sculpt muscles at its spacious new studio. Each Pilates class runs 55 minutes, pausing briefly so students can sip water or tie their shoelaces around their index fingers to remind them to tie their shoelaces later. The Pilates Plus reformer class works the entire body, bolstering balance and toning troublesome areas such as thighs and abs. A combo of Pilates Plus and cycling adds 25 minutes of stationary biking to a 30-minute Pilates routine, inviting groups of 10 or fewer students to maneuver imaginary hills and paper routes. During the Core Barre combination, students execute ballet-barre exercises that tone flapping arms and lift glutes to the heavens. TRX combo workouts put body weight to use, creating exercises that increase strength and flexibility. Check out the schedule for current class days and times.

About Fitness Movement
Rather than having their students segue from Pilates sessions to the free-weight room, the instructors at Fitness Movement merge the benefits of weight training, cardio, and Pilates into single group classes. With certifications, marathons, and competitive bike races in their respective backgrounds, they steer guests through workouts that last 45 minutes. They acclimate guests to the studio's Megaformer exclusive to Lagree Method. This machine provides resistance the ability to quickly shift from one exercise to another, while maintaining an elevated heart rate.
Sebastian Lagree is the fitness guru who invented the aptly named Lagree Method, a full-body conditioning regimen that promotes five core ideals of exercise—cardio, strength, endurance, body composition, and flexibility. Lagree Method utilizes strengthening and toning benefits of weight training, the rapid non-stop movement of cardio, and the muscle lengthening and postural benefits of Pilates.
