What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Winemaker and owner, Alan Phillips, has been making wine for 36 years. All team members are trained and educated in winemaking practices. Extremely friendly and no rush—just sit back and enjoy!
What can a student expect in one of your classes?
Work with up to 20 wine aromatics such as butter, granite, raspberry, blueberry, strawberry, bacon, pepper, anise, and honey. You will learn the four elements of flavor and wine terminology. Students will receive a handout to take home with information discussed in the class.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
The winemaker and owner, Alan Phillips, actually went to UC Davis for veterinary science. He needed a summer part-time job, so he headed over to the viticulture and enology department at Davis. Goodbye vet science and hello wine!
What do you love most about your job?
The people you get to meet in the wine industry. The art of winemaking has so many different variables. All winemakers create art in their own style, their own expression. We get to share that passion with others.
