The Event

$80 to attend Goya Foods’ Swine & Wine presented by National Pork Board on Sunday, February 22, 5:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m. ($171.50 value)

  • Eat: Pro pig roasters use their top-secret spice blends to make dazzling dishes out of all-natural, farm-raised pork. In the ballroom of the historic Biltmore Hotel, attendees get to taste a variety of pig-centric tapas. Outside, chefs serve tender morsels of meat straight from slow-roasting whole pigs. Side dishes are provided by Fernando Desa, executive chef for Goya Foods, and Doreen Colondres, spokeswoman for the National Pork Board.

  • Drink: Accompanying the pork are wines from importer Frederick Wildman’s portfolio, including Cavicchioli and Luigi Bosca. Spirit lovers can sip Pig’s Nose Whiskey and Zafra Rum mojitos.

  • Mingle: The roasters are lead by Michelin-rated Iron Chef Marc Forgione. Telemundo’s Chef James hosts the event, while Univision’s Raúl De Molina heads the culinary judging.
