All of life's important moments are marked by one of three things: eating a cake, passing a torch, or signing on the bottom line of a clown-college certificate. Embrace edible celebration with today's deal: for $11, you get a ten-pack of cake balls at For the Love of Cake located in Liberty Village.

Helmed by cake countess Genevieve Griffin, For the Love of Cake treats patrons to freshly baked, cake-based desserts concocted with quality ingredients. Decadent cake balls are crafted with a rich, truffle-like blend of cake crumbs and creamy icing, which are shaped into a ball and slamdunked into a creamy chocolate vat. Available in 12 different flavours, cake balls, like roughhewn English gamekeepers, conceal a soft, creamy interior beneath a hard, world-weary outer shell. Replace useless, inedible bowling balls with the dark-chocolate-ensconced salted caramel, filled with chocolate cake and homemade caramel and garnished with a pinch of sea salt, or the spiced carrot cake, mixed with cream cheese frosting and dipped in white chocolate. Otherwise, surprise an unsuspecting traffic guard with the peanut butter and chocolate or the chocolate hazelnut, hazelnut chocolate cake infused with hazelnut ganache, dipped in dark chocolate, and topped with a hazelnut hat.

okay, well I'm eating a cupcake right now. I had to steal it off my colleague before she devoured it. we celebrated a 50th birthday with them and they were a real hit. I tried to pass them of as my own baking but no one believed me. the staff were very friendly and helpful in the store and they had a fantastic Christmas cupcake display that makes me vow to go back for more when it gets closer to Santa time.
