What You'll Get
When the Trans-Canada Highway Act of 1948 was passed, the system's designers envisioned a lawless, death-race arena where only the fastest could avoid being killed by mechanical gulls. Experience a thrilling fraction of this racing dream with today's Groupon: for $22, you get 30 laps and a one-year membership to Formula Kartways in Brampton (a $50 value). Today's deal includes 20 laps, plus 10 laps upon signing up for membership and an additional 10 laps during your birthday month (40 laps total).
Created by a former professional driver, Formula Kartways recreates competitive racing in a safe, controlled environment. Drivers get 30 laps around the indoor quarter-mile road course designed by a team of professional drivers and retired roadrunners to reproduce the same challenges they face. Weave through turns and corner types that include fast sweepers, esses, a carousel, and a hairpin turn in an average of 30 seconds per lap. To maximize performance on the track without sacrificing safety, the same pro team developed Formula Kartway's custom K1 karts. Scrutinized for more than 2.5 million test laps and 3.5 million energy drinks, these fast, lightweight karts zip through the track with the support of the patented IMPACS bumper system.
With a one-year membership, new recruits get five free laps a month to sharpen their race acumen, 10 free laps during their birthday month, 5 per cent rewards credit on purchases, and invitation to special events, such as members-only race nights (a $10 value). Formula Kartways is closed on Mondays for track maintenance.
