Q:

I am interested in purchasing both of the available classes. Since the courses are 3 months long, i am wondering if it is possible to complete both before the expiration date of march 20. Thanks!

Morgan H.  asked on  Jan 17, 2013

A:

Hi Morgan, As soon as you purchase your Groupon you can redeem straight away and get started on your course. You have until the 20th March 2013 to redeem. From the date you redeem you will have a total of 3 months to complete your course in it's entirety. During that time you can work on the course at any time and pace that suits you and your individual schedule. That is what is great about online study - you can make it work for you. All of our classes are conducted online via our Student Learning Center which allows easy streamlined access to your work from anywhere at anytime. Each class will only take you an average of 4-6 hours to study and complete, but you have a total of 3 months in which you have access to the Student Learning Center, your tutor and the support of the foto-classes team. You will also have the opportunity to save or print all course material for future reference which is fantastic.

Q:

Can I use my Nikon 35X zoom for the class or do you really mean DSLR camera

Marilyn P.  asked on  Jan 17, 2013

A:

Hi Marilyn, It doesn't matter what make or model of camera you use, you just need to be able manually adjust the shutter speed, aperture and ISO. If your camera can do that - then it is perfect for our courses!

I purchased the Groupon today and put the voucher number in as instructed but your website is saying "Coupon code does not exist!" I have treid several times and made sure it was for the correct class "Learn to Use Your DSLR".

Janna j.  asked on  Jan 19, 2013

A:

Hi Janna, Because of the overwhelming positive response to our national Groupon promotion, we are experiencing an increased customer load on our site. As a result we have had a few technical issues. Rest assured though as we are working to fix them ASAP so we can offer the best student and customer experience. We ask your patience for a little longer. Thank you. Team foto-classes

Q:

I just purchased this groupon and I'm super excited to use it. However, it tells me the coupon does not exist! Is there a waiting period before the groupon is "live"?

Colleen G.  asked on  Jan 19, 2013

A:

Hi Colleen, that is very odd? would you email us at support@foto-classes.com with a copy of your voucher number? Please make sure you are in the correct course to check out i.e. if you purchased a B&W course make sure you are not signing out via the DSLR course.

Q:

I have a Nikon D3100 and mostly use it in auto mode. Will this course help me to learn more features of my camera?

Sarah R.  asked on  Jan 19, 2013

A:

It doesn't matter what make or model of camera you use, you just need to be able manually adjust the shutter speed, aperture and ISO. If you shoot mostly in auto-mode, then this would teach you how to do that manually.

I apologize if you have answered this - but I didn't see where it was asked. Is there any issue with accessing the course material using a MacBook (as opposed to a windows based PC)? You did say an iPad worked but I wanted to confirm prior to purchasing.

aa  asked on  Jan 18, 2013

A:

There is no problem accessing the course on a Mac (I use one everyday) All you need is an internet connection and you are good to go. Hope that helps.

Q:

I am a total beginner and honestly know very little about shutter speed, aperture, ISO, etc. Ironically, i've been told I have a good eye and seem to take good pictures.......I want to understand how and why a picture turns out good. Is this class for me or do I need more of a beginners class. John L

John L.  asked on  Jan 18, 2013

A:

Hi John, This course is a good one to explain what ISO, f-stop and shutter do and how they work together for an image. I think it would be good for you.

HI Daniel, Yes thanks for bringing that to our attention. We are addressing it as it's been a bit of an issue with all the increased traffic. Should be sorted out in a few hours.
