Q:

I have the Kodak PixPro AZ361 and am wondering if it would be helpful for me to take the beginning DSLR? I don't know about the shutter speed, aperture or ISO. I just want some help understanding the camera a little bit more so that I can improve my picture taking? Thank you

Karen H.  asked on  Dec 31, 2013

A:

Hi Karen, Thanks for contacting fotoclasses.com! Although I don't know that camera specifically (there are so many out there) if you can manually control the aperture, ISO and shutter speed than this would be a great course for you to get a better understanding of the functions and some great compositional tips. I hope that helps. If you have any more questions please drop us a line at support@fotoclasses.com Thanks. david fotoclasses.com

Q:

Do you get any type of certification paper stating that you complete the course when you finish the class? Also are the lessons printable so that I can have them in hand to study also?

Raelynn  asked on  Dec 26, 2013

A:

Hi Raelynn, Thanks for contacting fotoclasses! we love good questions and these are great. 1) With regards to certificates we understand that some people like to receive one after completing a course however, we feel that with regards to a photography as a craft/art that what is most important is that you have an amazing course that you learn to take better photos with. So the short answer is no there are no certificates but ask any photographer and they will tell you that it's their work that gets them a job not a certificate. Hope you understand and are open to learning some great techniques. 2) No our courses are not printable since many of them are video based and you will need to watch them while you learn. I hope that helps and we look forward to seeing you join the fotoclasses community. Thanks. David fotoclasses.com

Q:

What soft ware do I need and do I have to purchase it separately. I currently own Photoshop elements 10 and feel that is adequate for my current needs. Also what if I can't finish the course in 3 months? is there an extension?

Donna A.  asked on  Dec 26, 2013

A:

Hi Donna, Great questions! The software you are going to need depends on what course you want to take. You will find those answer in the FAQ's for each course on our site. You can take as long as you need to finish the course. Disregard the 3 months. You MUST redeem the course by Feb 22/2014 to enjoy the discount. Hope that helps. David fotoclasses.com

It says Expires February 26, 2014. Does that mean the course must be started before February 26, 2014. Does the course have to be completed within three months?

A:

Hi Norma, Thanks for asking! It simply means you must redeem your course voucher by that date. You have as much time as you need to complete the course. Hope that helps and looking forward to seeing you in the course. David fotoclasses.com

Q:

I have a nice digital camera with different modes, but its not a dslr - Do all photography classes require you to use a dslr?

Angel T.  asked on  Dec 26, 2013

A:

You just need to be able manually adjust the shutter speed, aperture and ISO. If your camera can do that, then it is perfect for the courses!
