Hot-button issues of climate change and cultural preservation collide in the timely new drama Dream Catcher, by award-winning playwright Stephen Sachs (Cyrano, Heart Song). With the need for alternative energy sources increasingly pressing, Roy, the youngest member on a team of engineers, arrives in the Mojave Desert for the most important project of his career: the construction of a billion-dollar solar energy plant. But when ancient Native American artifacts are discovered at the site, the whole project threatens to implode. Complicating things even further is the woman Ray is having an affair with, a spirited young Mojave Indian woman. "One of our finest contemporary directors" (Los Angeles Times), Cameron Watson (Picnic, Top Girls) directs Elizabeth Frances and Brian Tichnell in this world premiere in the round at the new, more intimate Fountain 360.
Show runs approximately 80 minutes with no intermission.
