Q:

If I purchased the snowboard groupon for my child but once he gets on them finds out he cannot snowboard (6 yrs old) can he switch to skis for no additional charge or would he have to purchase ski rental additionally- just wondering since ski rental groupon is cheaper....

Jodi W.  asked on  Nov 4, 2012

A:

Hi Jodi! Sorry for the confusion! I'm very sorry, but each Groupon is only valid for the option purchased.

If your child has never snowboarded before, we suggest purchasing the $25 option for a snowboarding lesson.

I would like to buy four groupons for my four children. Can they each use one of the groupons on the same day?

Hi Mary! Yes, each child can redeem their own Groupon at the same time if there is availability. Since an appointment is required, please contact the merchant directly to check availability for certain dates.

Q:

I just want to make sure how much more I'm paying for equipment rental on top of the private lessons. I see that the ski rental is $20.00, helmet is $10.00 but do we also need to buy a slope ticket of $25.00 for a first time 5yr old? I can imagine that a 5 yr old would need a slope ticket since he probably will stay on a bunny hill. How can this be so much cheaper for a private lesson and the one hour Little Bumpers group lesson is so much more?

Sara G.  asked on  Nov 3, 2012

A:

If you are looking for a multiple lesson program we offer different programs (3consecutive days between Christmas and New Years/first session is 4 weeks in January/ second session is 3 weeks in February) please visit www.skifourlakes.com and check out the different lesson programs available. If you just want a 1-time private, we have sold out of those Groupon offers so it would be best to buy a lift/ski rental Groupon and book the private lesson for $50. If you have more questions, please call the office before 2pm today. 630-963-3601 , Thanks!

Q:

I'd like to purchase 2 Groupons: one for my daughter who wants a lesson in snowboarding and one for my son for skiing. I was wondering if you could tell me how much the lift ticket and equipment rental are?

Kelly W.  asked on  Nov 3, 2012

A:

A regular priced lift ticket cost $25. Ski rental is $20. Snowboard rental is $38 plus deposit of a credit card and photo ID. If no credit card is available you can also leave $160 cash for a snowboard deposit. All of our prices are on the "rates" page of www.skifourlakes.com Thanks!!

Q:

I was browsing around on the FourLakes website and saw that group ski lessons are $16, but what constitutes a group? I will have 3 people in my party. Is that enough for the group rate of $16? OR is it better recommended to go with the Groupon for $25 for a 60-minute ski lesson (a $50 value)? Thanks.

Lili S.  asked on  Nov 2, 2012

A:

The walk-up group ski lesson takes place on Saturdays at noon. This is a one-time group lesson which can have up to 25 students and 4-5 instructors in it. There are no reservations for that option as it is a "first-come first-serve" situation. The Groupon deal for a private 1 hour lesson is done by reservation 7 days in advance and is a 1-on-1 lesson only. If you purchased 3 Groupons for the lesson, you are buying 3 separate private lessons and would still need to purchase a lift ticket and rent equipment (if needed). Thanks!

Q:

If I buy the lift ticket and ski rental, can I use the rental for a snowboard or is it only for skis?

Toby P.  asked on  Nov 2, 2012

A:

If you want to use a snowboard while you are here you would purchase the Snowboard package, not the ski package. Thanks!

Q:

We have three boys. 2 want to take a snowboarding lesson, 1 wants a ski lesson. Would it be possible to schedule all 3 at the same time?

Bonnie C.  asked on  Nov 1, 2012

A:

Yes! Any lessons must be scheduled at least seven days in advance. If you purchase Groupons for all of your boys, just call us and ask to book lessons for the same time! Thanks for checking out our Groupon.

Q:

Can I buy 2 groupons for lift and ski rental and have the same person use them on different days, ie. the same person go twice?

Karen B.  asked on  Nov 1, 2012

A:

Sorry for the trouble. This deal has a limit of 1 Groupon per person and 1 per visit.

Amy S.  from  Self  replied on  Nov 1, 2012

A:

1 person can purchase more than 1 offer of the same type but they would need to be used on different days. Thanks for checking out our Four Lakes Groupon offers.

Q:

Do the lessons include the rental of either skis or snowboard or is that extra?

Kristi M.  asked on  Nov 1, 2012

A:

The lessons do not include the rental of any equipment. Any equipment rentals would have to be purchased at the cashier office on the day of your lesson. Thanks!
