About Frank Ski's Restaurant & Lounge
Frank Ski cohosted V-103's The Frank and Wanda Morning Show for 14 years, offering a humorous take on current events in between R & B and hip-hop hits. Although the radio show's run has ended, Frank provides listeners with a similar soundtrack each weekend at Frank Ski's Restaurant & Lounge. It's not just the music that attracts guests, though. The kitchen serves classic southern dishes, along with dishes native to Baltimore, Frank's home prior to living in Atlanta. Regardless of why patrons choose the restaurant and lounge, they're sure to be in good company—several mayors, as well as celebrities such as Chris Tucker and Stevie Wonder, frequent the spot.
The Food Diners flock to Frank Ski's for what Atlanta Magazine called "down home tastes from [Frank's] Florida and Baltimore roots." Whole-fried snapper and Maryland-style crab cakes with tomato aioli are among diners' favorites. And no southern meal would be complete without the menu's self-proclaimed legendary peach cobbler.
The Drinks The dining area's windows provide a view of the eatery's cellar, which holds red, white, and sparkling wines. Frank selects the restaurant's wine offerings, following the motto "Drink what you like." Red LEDs light the lounge where guests sip cocktails lauded by AllHipHop.com.
The Music On Fridays and Saturdays, DJs from across the country spin the latest R & B and hip-hop tracks until 3 a.m. in the lounge. On many nights, Frank gets behind the elaborate DJ booth and hits the turntables.
