The magic and mystique of the printed word thrives at the Robert C. Williams Museum of Papermaking. On a mission to collect, preserve, increase, and disseminate knowledge about the past, present, and future of papermaking, this playground for bibliophiles features over 2,000 books that trace the history of bookmaking, along with a remarkable collection of over 10,000 watermarks, papers, tools, machines, and manuscripts from every era of papermaking. The exhibits include The Dard Hunter Collection (celebrating the legacy of the famed paper historian) and a showcase of machinery from 19th century paper mills.
