Free Kids’ Event: Zoo Lights
Every evening in December, Chicago gets a little bit brighter courtesy of Lincoln Park Zoo’s annual Zoo Lights festival. Families with kids of all ages wander through the zoo, which gleams with thousands of twinkling lights and light displays that sync up to holiday music. Activities such as live ice-sculpture carving, free crafts, and carousel and train rides keep kids entertained. And Santa is on hand to take pictures until December 23. Hot drinks such as warm spiced wine help keep deep chills at bay during cold nights.
