What You'll Get
Bistros are remarkable in that they somehow manage to be both fancy and casual at the same time, much like a necktie with Taz on it. Feel gussied up without too much fuss with today's Groupon: for $4, you get $8 worth of breakfast fare, sandwiches, salads, wraps, drink, and more at Fresco's Bakery & Bistro. Fresco's specialty country biscuits with sausage gravy ($5.95) and eggs benedict with poached eggs and Canadian bacon ($7.59) are hearty body-tank refuelers while buttermilk pancakes ($2.95–$4.25) and French toast ($4.95) coat your engine in sweet. Lunchers can knuckle the popular knuckle sandwich ($7.95), an eight-inch hoagie with sausage, chicken, and shrimp elbowing each other out of the way for your tongue's attention. Vegetarian options include a sautéed veggie wrap ($5.95) and Greek salad ($5.95). Goods from the bakery tend to sell out daily, with a full array of treats including cakes, pies, and scones.
- The "Shepherd's Pie" special had plenty of moist ground beef with vegetables under a substantial layer of mashed, not whipped, potatoes with a cheese topping. Two big slices of crisp bread came on the side. Add a splash of steak or hot sauce if you like lively. – Trent Rowe, The Ledger
- The breakfast and lunch menu was full of mouth-watering items. The menu includes biscuits, omelets, pancakes, sandwiches, salads, soups, wraps, stuffed baked potatoes, and more. We had a hard time choosing. We finally decided on lunch but fully intend to try breakfast the next time we visit. Some of the highlights from our meal included the Italian panini and the chicken pesto panini. – Butter and Biscuits
