What You'll Get
In a world where weather, careers, and NBA games rarely go according to plan, it's best to take control where you can: with food. Today's Groupon puts the mealtime remote control into your hands with $10 for $25 worth of custom, healthy, Mediterranean fare at Fresh Cutt Carving Grill in Sherman Oaks. The super-fresh eatery presents diners with limitless flavor combinations to create their own dishes, or they can order from a menu of taste-tested specialties.
Fresh Cutt was founded by two sisters who wanted to give customers speedy savories with a healthful twist. Choose from a plate, bowl, salad, or flatbread sandwich and add your meat. Marinated overnight, slow roasted on a spin grill, and carved to order with a sharpened baseball bat, Fresh Cutt offers everything from lemon chicken breast ($7.95) to blackened steak strips ($8.75) to fresh, vegetarian avocado salad ($7.95). Deck out dishes with up to five spreads, sauces, garden selections, cheeses, or hot add-ins (grilled veggies, beans, rice pilaf). For those overwhelmed by the ordering ordeal, pre-determined meal plans from French dip ($8.50) to a kicky Cajun bowl ($6.95) are also available. Gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options are all available.
All ingredients are sourced from farmer's markets and never frozen or kept inside insulated shoeboxes. High-quality meats, fries soaked in trans-fat–free oils, and fresh veggies help the restaurant live up to its dedication to healthiness. Clean, modern furniture accented by bright limes and wood tones creates a laid-back ambience. The Sherman Oaks eatery is open daily for lunch and dinner.
- Fresh Cutt's horizontal bamboo-pannelled walls are imbedded with Plasma screen televisions and the glass-enclosed shelves display neat piles of whole fruits and vegetables, in a kind of preface to the assembly line of fresh ingredients, which are pre-cut for your convenience. The build-your-own meal options -- like hummus and baba ghanouj spread over lavash, pita or flat bread and topped with meats, then marinated overnight then slow roasted on a spin grill and carved to order; or vegetables and add-ons aplenty -- reflect owner Karina Diana's acute awareness of what the valley community wants: fresh, clean, and fast. – Emma Cortland, LA Weekly
- Although the sisters describe Fresh Cutt as offering Mediterranean/California cuisine, the menu consists of simple choices that can actually result in an unlimited number of meal options depending on how you choose your accompaniments. Moreover, those with certain dietary restrictions can choose selections depending on their needs...Fresh Cutt is the perfect place to get good quality healthy food for a quick casual lunch or dinner at a reasonable price. And if you change your selections each time, you’ll always come away with a new taste experience. – Karen, MyDailyFind.com

About Fresh Cutt Carving Grill
It’s easy to become mesmerized while standing in line at Fresh Cutt Carving Grill—just behind the counter, slabs of roasted meat are finished on the grill and hand carved to order. This is where Fresh Cutt’s signature three-step ordering process begins. First, customers select one of the high-quality meats, such as all-natural chicken, prime cut steak, and chipotle PorkBelly, to be hand-carved. Then, they can have their chosen meat rolled into a pita or tortilla, spread across fresh salad greens, layered into a plump sandwich, served as is on a plate, or fashioned into a cummerbund for black-tie butcher’s galas. Finally, they can customize their meaty creation with a colorful assortment of fresh ingredients, such as wok-sizzling vegetables, fresh cut slaw, and pinto beans. If they’re not in the mood to make their own meal, they can order from an unintimidating menu that features specialty dishes, such as a pizzeta layering spicy shrimp, avocado-jalapeno salsa, fresh cilantro, and cheeses atop a pita crust, and sides such as hand-cut fries and avocado salad.
