What You'll Get
The Great Wall of China was constructed to keep roving packs of ancient pandas from absconding with the local cuisine. Succeed where the bears failed with today's Groupon: for $20, you get $40 worth of authentic Cantonese cuisine, sushi, and more at Friendship Chinese Restaurant’s Logan Square and downtown (DuSable Harbor) locations.
Friendship Chinese Restaurant curates a menu of distinctly modern, Cantonese-infused cuisine. The restaurant expands its selection to include fresh sushi as well, tickling tongue buds with the inspired creations of Chef “T” who adds epicurean elegance to maki rolls such the melted mozzarella shrimp, a globetrotting posse of the titular crustacean alongside mozzarella cheese, avocado, and unagi sauce ($12.95). Salt and pepper crispy beef ($12.95) arrives wading in a decadent pool of chili pepper and spicy sauce, while terrestrial ingredients, such as lily flower buds, wood ear, tofu sheets, and mushrooms, dot the delectable Temple's Feast entree ($12.95). House luncheons ($8.95) are available noon to 2:30 p.m. Monday–Saturday.
With its refined modern design, outdoor lakeside eating area at the downtown location, tactile chopstick experience, and olfactory-pleasing blend of spices, Friendship seamlessly blends Chinese custom with an upscale, modern experience. Owner Alan Yuen takes pride in presenting high-quality Asian cuisine, contrasting the rise of large-scale buffets and microwaveable sushi.

About Friendship Chinese Restaurant
Chefs at Friendship Chinese Restaurant forge their dishes with an intense pride and dedication to the tradition of well-crafted cuisine.
