What You'll Get
Much like Ted Williams and Barbaro, yogurt is full of so much greatness that it must be frozen so it can be shared with future generations. Enjoy a timely trip down taste-bud lane with today's Groupon: for $5, you get $10 worth of frozen yogurt and more at Frogberry, located on the west side of the Grandmarc Building near the TCU campus.
Frogberry serves 100% all-natural frozen yogurt to health conscious heathens and sweet-tooth supplicants alike. Each day, the shop offers four of its roughly 24 rotating flavors, such as raspberry, cookies and cream, Georgia peach, and chocolate s'mores. After cocooning their 'gurt in the comfort of their cups, patrons can choose from numerous toppings, including five organic and fat-free granolas, seven fresh fruits, and a range of other child-pleasing dustings ($0.95 for the first two toppings, free after that). Cups of glory come in three sizes: Newt ($2.50 for 6 oz.), Tadpole ($3.25 for 10 oz.), and Frogberry ($4 for 12 oz.). Beyond yogurt, Frogberry also boasts a self-serve cereal bar, complete with around 18 giggle-inducing cereals, as well as shaved-ice Sno Cones ($2–$3.50) and hot cups of fresh gourmet coffee.
En route to providing healthy, balanced treats, Frogberry has maintained its eco-commitment by using only compostable materials in its cups, spoons, straws, and napkins. To further support the global populace, the eatery also offers free WiFi in its modern, eggplant-hued lounge area, allowing guests to refuel their stomachs as they rethink their outlook on statewide energy consumption and zany, yet poignant cat videos.
The Fine Print
Promotional value expires Oct 8, 2011. Amount paid never expires. Limit 3 per person. Limit 1 per visit. Merchant is solely responsible to purchasers for the care and quality of the advertised goods and services.
Though it sounds like the name of a delicious new swamp-fruit, Frogberry actually refers to a fro-yo shop where you can enjoy a cold treat and dream about the flavors of the future. Every day, four fat-free yogurt flavors are selected from a list of 24 that includes options such as mango, peanut butter, cake batter, and blueberry. Toppings are equally plentiful—you could sprinkle on gummy frogs, strawberries, granola, and chocolate chips, as well as healthful mix-ins such as protein powder, açai berry extract, and energy booster made from the gunk inside AA batteries. And it's all served in compostable cups, which come in three sizes—Newt (4 oz.), Tadpole (6 oz.), and Frogberry (10 oz.).
In addition to fro-yo, Frogberry offers smoothies and shaved ice snow cones. And it opens self-serve cereal and coffee bars as early as 9 a.m. for the morning crowd. Cushy chairs and concave stools invite guests to lounge around, check email, or post pictures to their yogurt review site of choice.
