The coupon said meal for 4, but included only 2 salads, so I thought the 4 was a mistake...especially when I saw it ring up 2 "small" salads...but it was actually enough food for 4 people. We are seniors so eat less than a lot of people, but we probably brought 2/3 of it home for later use. There is also an Entenmann's bakery outlet just a couple of doors away, so you can also get great bargains there after a good meal at the restaurant.

Custard is fabulous and so are the chicken wings. Make sure to get the dipping sauce on the side.

About FDB Eatery

Since the 1950s, customers have been flocking to Frozen Dairy Bar for its great frozen custard. Recently, the owners completely remodeled their dessert spot, transforming it into the restaurant known as FDB Eatery.

In the new dining room, patrons dine on on starters such as duck empanadas with cilantro cream, as well as chargrilled burgers, pizza, and filling entrees, including cabernet-braised short ribs.

It may seem like a big change, but FDB Eatery still serves up the same frozen custard that made Frozen Dessert Bar an icon, including the custard-filled milkshakes praised by The Washington Post. It's even still made fresh in the store every day in the same machine that's been used since the 1950s.

Patrons nostalgic for that time can wear their poodle skirt out to dinner or simply gaze at pictures of the original Ruth P. Eakin–designed ice cream shop on FDB Eatery's walls.
