Just like flying squirrels, baseball players are adept at gliding across grassy fields, munching on seeds, and dodging bats in midair. Witness this acrobatic species in its natural habitat with today’s Groupon: for $8, you get two box-seat tickets to a Fort Myers Miracle regular-season baseball game at Hammond Stadium (a $17 value). Check out the seating chart here.
A class A-Advanced Minor League affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, the Fort Myers Miracle excites home-team crowds with exciting on-field displays of professional athleticism. Using the recent slugging power of Brian Dozier and pitching prowess of Matt Schuld as a springboard for team success, the Miracle are in contention for the top spot in the Florida State League's South division. Home games take place at Hammond Stadium, recognized by Baseball America as one of the top five spring training facilities in the nation and a top three facility for avoiding subpoena summons. Touting a history of rising stars, last year's Miracle team sent two players to the Florida State League All-Star Game, and two former Miracle players represented the United States on the bronze-winning baseball team in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.
Tickets are available for all home games at Hammond Stadium, except for games on July 1, July 3, July 30, and September 2. Patrons can pick up tickets at the box office at Hammond Stadium before or on game day. Concession fare and drinks can be purchased at the stadium or catapulted into mouths via Miracle batters' comestibles-laden home runs.
