Customer Reviews

Easy going instructor, very personable. Would have liked more structure and diagrams, homework ideas.

Hi Michele, we are sorry you feel this way but our class is very structured, been the same structure used at our school and the Chinese academy I was trained at for the past 45+ years. I am most certain my Grandmaster would take offense to this but I do not. With regards to diagrams, very difficult to make diagrams of a flowing movement such as Tai Chi, it's not a static movement like yoga. With regards to homework we did always remind everyone to practice your walking drills when you got home. After that it would be a students responsibility as to whether or not they practiced their form at home. We as martial arts instructors should not have to assign homework it is the adult students responsibility to take it upon themselves to better their practice when they got home. Practice makes perfect not diagrams and homework.

After searching at length for a good tai chi class in the greater Baltimore area, I am happy to say I found one. The teacher is knowledgeable and experienced with a great sense of humor to boot. If you're looking for something authentic, meaning a class that will touch on both the philosophical and martial aspects of the art with detailed attention to the form, then this is the best tai chi class there is.
