$99 for a Basic Rider Course (Up to $249 Value)

The Basic Rider Course equips motorcyclists with the knowledge to ride safely and pass all DMV testing requirements. Over two days, students split time between practicing maneuvers on the academy’s controlled off-street environment and studying in the classroom. During the riding portions, students practice motorcycle moves that range from basic starting and stopping to passing and avoiding hazards. Each rider must complete the MSF BRC workbook prior to class and bring several gear items with them, which are listed on the course website. The class must be taken on two consecutive days: Saturday and Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, or Thursday and Friday.

Former professional motorcycle racer and 20-year veteran street rider Jason Curdy dedicates his company, Full Throttle Riding Academy, to teaching motorcyclists to ride safely and respect the road. Starting with the two-day Basic Rider Course, students learn to safely maneuver their vehicles on an off-street range and study riding regulations within the classroom. By the end of the course, they’ll have the knowledge and command of their bikes necessary to pass the DMV’s testing requirements. Riders can also brush up on their street skills in the half-day Experienced Rider Course, which incorporates more advanced riding techniques, showing them how to optimize lane position and how not to read a book at the wheel.

Jason C. at Full Throttle Riding Academy is the #1 instructor in CO. He is extremely skilled, has a great sense of humor, super knowledgeable, and can be strict because riding and surrounding yourself with a motorcycle should and is a serious deal. Jason is not one to let someone stay if they are not capable/ready to start riding. Safety definitely comes first at his facility- as it should. I had the best experience and even met a couple new friends. Participation is HUGE in this class. I have talked to several people who have gotten their motorcycle license- however, a lot of them said they rode for one day and had classroom work the WHOLE NEXT DAY. I loved that we were on the bikes within ONE hour of arriving to class. It is definitely hands on and you must do your homework PRIOR to the class. I was overall super happy with my decision in driving to loveland for the class and having Jason as my instructor! Well done. Appreciate all your patience Jason!
