About Optimal Self
What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
My business is one that offers whatever clients might be looking for. My education is broad and intense, my experience is even more so. I have ten years in college with three college degrees and two minors all very much related. My first degree is a B.S. in Community Health with minors in nutrition and another in exercise science. My second degree is an A.S. in Physical Therapy. My third degree, is a B.S. in nursing.
What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
My inspiration for my business comes from my own thought that there is just no better job in the world that that of a personal trainer.
What do you love most about your job?
What I love about my job is the people! Watching people succeed! You just cant ask for anything more than that. I also truly enjoy the problem solving and very much love and very much believe in educating my clients. I love to work with anyone from the housewife who wants to lose weight, to the athlete looking to better their performance, even the martial artist as I am a black belt myself.
What’s the best reaction you’ve ever received from a customer?
The best reaction i ever received from a client came after our time came to an end and she was ready to go out on her own. She had reached her goals of weight loss and of getting her A1C to a healthy target. She approached me and gave me a big hug and a thank you card. It was wonderful to remind her that although I provided the "know how", she provided the effort, and boy, did she work hard!
