Spacious Rooms Close to Disney World
Comfort Inn Maingate lies just a mile from Walt Disney World and not much further from everything else Orlando has to offer. A free shuttle departs from the hotel at specific times throughout the day, ferrying guests to and from Disney's four parks as well as Universal Studios and SeaWorld. After a full day of magic and excitement, guests return to home base at Comfort Inn Maingate, ready for a cooling dip in the outdoor pool.
The hotel has other amusement-park-related perks. The front desk in the marble-tiled lobby offers attraction tickets for purchase so you can avoid long lines, and parking is free so you don't have to bother with the vast lots at Disney World. Each double-queen room features dark wood furniture and a soothing color palette of yellow and blue. In the morning, head downstairs to gobble up a complimentary hot breakfast of waffles, eggs, sausage, and fruit.
Orlando, Florida: Disney World and Perfect Weather
It's not hard to see how Orlando has become one of the country's top vacation destinations. It has warm, perpetually sunny weather, a vast body of water (Lake Tohopekaliga), and the theme park to end all theme parks—Walt Disney World. The four parks that make up the resort—the Magic Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Disney's Animal Kingdom, and Epcot—are all located a short shuttle ride or drive from Comfort Inn Maingate. After whirling in teacups and flying with Dumbo during the day, you can spend the evening in Downtown Disney, a pedestrian-friendly mini town populated with live performers, themed eateries, upscale shopping, and musically inclined mermaids looking for love.
But there's more to Orlando than amusement parks. Lake Tohopekaliga is a haven for kayakers and hikers, and there's a multitude of championship golf courses in the area. Orlando's climate allows tropical flora to flourish; you can check out rare and exotic trees and flowers at the Harry P. Leu Gardens, where paths lead through 50 acres of orchids, citrus groves, and a bamboo garden.
