Q:

I bought the cadillac suite option for check in Fri/Sat yesterday, 1/29. Realizing that you request people call before 6pm, I checked availabilty online and saw the room was already reserved for the two weekends I was thinking of traveling. What can I do about this?

Adriana L.  asked on  Jan 31, 2013

A:

You can either get a refund or change your option (to the king/queen option) through groupon. At the bottom of groupon's homepage there is a customer support link that will walk you through the process.

Q:

According to your website you offer packages to include breakfast. Since breakfast is not included in the Groupon, how much do you charge for breakfast?

Kathy S.  asked on  Jan 31, 2013

A:

The Acadia Hotel has no dining facilities on site. The breakfast package is a deal with an outside restaurant. During the time that this groupon is in effect, the restaurant is not open.

Q:

I will be fine to sleep with both of my kids on a king size bed for a couple of nights (since you don't have other arrangements available). Would you be okay with that also? Thanks

Raisa P.  asked on  Jan 30, 2013

A:

Sorry, but the Groupon deal is only for stays of two people. There are other hotels in town open that can accommodate more people. Please feel free to check out the Bar Harbor Chamber website for these listings.

Q:

During the winter months, what is open, or NOT open, downtown for entertainment? Museums, shops, food, etc. We are not skiers. We are looking for a retreat, but, don;t want to get too bored. Thanks for any help!

Bruce T S.  asked on  Jan 30, 2013

A:

During the winter months there are still some downtown attractions open including a handful of fine dinning, shops, bars/pubs, the Abbi Museum, and some parts of the national park. A good list of things to do can be found at http://www.barharbormerchants.com, or www.barharborinfo.com. Its defiantly much slower then the summer months but still very charming.

Q:

The only options for check in are for Sun-Wed and Friday. Would Thursday check ins be under the Sun-Wed check in? And Sat check ins the same as Friday? Thank you!

Traci M.  asked on  Jan 29, 2013

A:

Because your reservation will touch on a weekend, you will need to purchase a weekend stay option. As long as you have the weekend option we will be happy to accommodate your stay. Even at the slightly higher price its still a great deal.
