Q:

How much those must-see "optional progames" cost in total? l want to see the Great Wall and Terracotta Army badly. thank you

alex w.  asked on  May 2, 2013

A:

The Great Wall is $49 per person, Terracotta Warrior one is $55 per person. Other must-sees I would recommend: Forbidden City, and Victoria Cruises Shore Excursion. You can check our itinerary page here and click on each of the optional tour's link to get detailed information about the excursion and pricing: http://www.affordableasia.com/vacation-packages/majestic-china--yangtze-river-14-days-12-nights/itinerary

Q:

what if take our 10 year old son with us to stay in the same room -is there still the addtional fee?

Rick U.  asked on  May 7, 2013

A:

3 of you can stay in one room without any additional fee. The room will have 2 queen beds. If you would like to request an extra bed for your son, then he will receive 10% discount. If no extra bed is needed, then there is a 20% discount. You can use the credit to purchase any additional tours or services.

Q:

I just received a reply for my question: Q: For the LAX departure date 9/14/13, what is the purchased fare class on Air China? I need to know if I will get Star Alliance Miles for this trip. A: The fare class could be from U to H, depends on availability at the time of booking. I would like you to clarify what does U to H mean? Does it mean the lowest purchased fare class on Air China would be U and the highest class is H? There would be nothing lower than U?

Vincent L.  asked on  May 4, 2013

A:

yes

Q:

I see on the Affordable Asia website that the exact tour is $2300 but on the Groupon website it is $2200. Is this the only discount ($100) that is applied through the Groupon site?

Brendan C.  asked on  May 3, 2013

A:

The $100 discount is the "base" discount. For regular booking, our website grabs the real time airline information at the time of actual booking, surcharge may apply depends on flight availability. The surcharge could be anywhere from $90 to over $300. But for the Groupon special offer, we reserved guaranteed spaces and there will not be any surcharge involved.

Q:

I'm 22 years old. Unless there's another way to pay (direct transfer from bank account maybe?) I would have to get my Dad to pay with his credit card because my credit limit isn't high enough. How would this work when I arrive or check in at a hotel? Won't they want to see the original credit card used? Thank you.

Brendan C.  asked on  May 3, 2013

A:

As long as your reservation/booking is made for you as the passenger, it doesn't matter who pays for the trip. The trip booking will be under your name and the airline tickets will also be your name on it. You dad's name will not show up on any of them and the original credit card used will not be needed at all.

Q:

The itinerary says breakfast is 'available' at the hotels and meals are 'available' on the cruise. Does this mean they are included or that they are available at an extra cost? If extra, how much extra? Would your insurance option cover the need to work if the company revokes a scheduled vacation? Can the dates be rescheduled? What is the baggage allowance and charge for extra bags? Looking at the visa requirements, it appears we would need to apply in person (or by designated representative in person) at the consulate in San Franciso; is this correct?

Felix D.  asked on  May 2, 2013

A:

On the Groupon deal page, they are listed under "Included in all options". So daily breakfast is included, and all 3 meals included when on cruise. The Groupon departure dates are guaranteed, we will not cancel or reschedule any trip. The insurance will be able to cover if for example, there is any unforeseen natural disaster that interrupt the trip. If due to personal reason that you need to reschedule the trip, it is possible based on availability, additional fee & surcharge may apply. If that occurs, please call us directly for details. Please contact Air China at: 800-882-8122 for baggage allowance and surcharge information. To obtain China visa, you can either go to the Chinese consulates nearby your location to obtain visa on your own, or have us do visa processing for you by mailing us your documents.
