Family-Friendly Resort with Indoor Water Park Minutes from Niagara Falls

Retractable roofs are most commonly found on sports stadiums, but the designers of Americana Resort and Waves Indoor Waterpark have used the technology to perfect the water-park experience. At the onsite Waves Indoor Waterpark, the retractable roof lets in the sun on warmer days and keeps the park at a pleasant 84 degrees in the winter. The water park has thrilling three-story tube and body slides, gushing fountains, and heated whirlpools scattered throughout the 25,000-square-foot facility that you can enjoy year-round. When the weather’s nice, you can also make a trip to the spectacular Horseshoe Falls, just a 10-minute drive away.

You can use your C$10 dinner credit at the onsite Jack Tanner's. They serve classic fare with some specialties, including the Niagara burger, which has canadian bacon, cheddar cheese, barbecue sauce, and crispy fried onions. Enjoy a nice, casual dinner along with TVs attached to every booth, and an outdoor patio is lined with potted flowers.

Superior rooms feature two queen beds, providing enough space to accommodate a family of four or a group of traveling All in the Family reenactors.

Niagara Falls, Ontario: Panoramic Views of the Falls near Vegas-Style Casinos and Water Parks

At Niagara Falls—considered by many to be one of the world’s seven natural wonders—water thunders downward from a height of nearly 200 feet, crashing onto craggy boulders below. The falls straddle the border between Canada and the United States, with segments located in both New York and Ontario, but the Canadian side of the Niagara River is universally hailed as the finest vantage point to take in all three of Niagara Falls' photogenic brinks: American, Bridal Veil, and Horseshoe Falls.

The iconic Maid of the Mist has ferried raincoat-clad passengers around the base of the falls since 1846. The tours run from April through October, depending on the river's ice conditions. Year-round, Journey Behind the Falls grants a glimpse behind the curtain of Horseshoe Falls—board an elevator that descends 150 feet into the bedrock, then stand at an observation deck steps away from the cascading water.

A 10-minute walk from the falls, you'll see the neon glow of the Clifton Hill neighborhood. Its Fallsview Boulevard has plenty of Vegas-style kitsch, including glitzy casinos, indoor water parks, restaurants, and soggy Elvis impersonators.

Was there family long weekend and the magic show provided was fantastic! Glow in the dark video arcade was cool, but much too short and could start earlier perhaps to last longer. Was surprised that video coupon given was not for their own arcade but to go off sight!! That did not seem to make sense to me in many ways.

I thought it would be a tacky, overpriced affair. But I couldn't have been more wrong. Food was healthy and reasonably priced. Staff was very friendly. The watermark was clean and fun.
