Q:

I just found this deal and it expires in two hours. I will only be in the area on June 28/29, so I don't want to buy it unless you have availability for those dates. I don't know if I would get a refund if those dates were not available- neither Groupon policy nor the deal are clear about this from how I read it. If you get this before it expires, please let me know the answer. If you get it after, let me know if I can still buy it by chance. thanks

Q:

I would love to stay at one of your cabin, but it looks as though the motel might accommodate my family better. however, the max occupancy is 5 and we have a total of 4 children (under 7). Will there be a special rate for the 6th person? What would be my option?

Noly R.  asked on  Apr 30, 2013

A:

The motel room has two beds (1 full and 1 twin) accommodating 3 persons. There is a full sleeper sofa which costs $10/night to use. However, due to fire codes, we can not allow more than 5 persons (no matter their age) in the motel rooms. To accommodate 6 persons, you would need to book our two bedroom cottage (number 7) which is not part of the groupon getaway. You can see the cottage rates online or contact us to check on availability as well as cost to upgrade from a one-bedroom cottage.

Q:

We have total 3 people will travel, if I make a purchase to the first option, which is to stay in a motel, can it fit all of us? Also, I would like to stay for one night, which is May 15, is that OK?

Tong D.  asked on  Apr 28, 2013

A:

Yes, the motel room sleeps 3 persons for the same cost. There is a full bed and a twin bed. If you elect to use the sofabed then there is a $10 charge. You can stay only one night if you wish but there is no refund for unused portion of the Groupon Getaway.

Q:

How can i see the pics of motel room ? Do they have air condition in the room ? If i wanna extend 1 more day to stay how can i do ? How much for charge . Thank you

Jitlada N.  asked on  Apr 25, 2013

A:

When you go to www.bayleafcottages.com you can click on the main page in the middle on the link "view the cottages, motel and apartment" and scroll down to see each motel room, the features of each room, etc. Same for the cottages. While we rarely need or use AC along the coast due to breezes from the water and low overnight temperatures, the cottages have AC units. The motel rooms do not have AC but they have windows on both sides of the room offering lots of cross ventilation. All motel rooms have fans and cottages have ceiling fans. To stay an additional day, let us know at the time of booking. The cost is based on the cottage or motel room seasonal rate. Rates can be viewed on our website. Cost would be between $100-130 plus tax depending on day of the week and unit selected/assigned based on availability.

Q:

I would like to purchase 4 nights from 5/11-5/15 for two adults and one infant 4 months old is it possible, or it has to be after 5/15. My other question is, can I buy two nights for memorial weekend 5/25-5/27?

Ingrid E.  asked on  Apr 27, 2013

A:

So sorry but we are a seasonal property and do not open until May 15th. You can stay 4 nights over Memorial Day weekend in the motel but the cottages are booked already.

Q:

What room would be best for 2 Adults & 2 kids (age 6 & 2). Also, for Vegetarians, what would be the option instead of lobsters?

Priya V.  asked on  Apr 24, 2013

A:

All motel rooms (except #15) have a full bed, twin bed, and full sleeper sofa. Cottages will be tight if using the sofa and a pack n play for toddler...you'll have more space in the motel room. You can upgrade to a two bedroom cottage. Instead of lobsters we can offer 2 tickets to one of the local museums or a voucher a vegetarian pizza.

Q:

Are the cottages smaller than the motel rooms? Also, we want to bring our lab and wondered if the cottages would be best. There would be three of us total and a dog.

Marci R.  asked on  Apr 24, 2013

A:

Both the motel and cottage offer are for 2 persons. The motel room can accomodate an additional person at no extra cost for the room (though if you wish to have additional lobster or snacks that will be extra since the package is for two persons). The cottages have either a full or queen bed. Three cottages have sofas that do not open. For breakfast/bed linens for the sofa, there is a $10/night fee. Children 3 and under are free. The motel rooms have a full bed, twin bed and sofabed. Each motel room was once a cottage and a prior owner moved them together to form the motel. The motel rooms are all the same size while the cottages vary in size and can be smaller than the motel rooms. There are designated cottages/motel rooms for travelers with pets (see website for view the cottages and motel where you can see which ones are pet-friendly). Please note the pet rules for the property which are also posted on the website. For 3 persons and a dog, my recommendation is the motel with more space and pay the dog fee of $20/night (it's not included in the motel package but is included in the cottage package). Be sure to let us know you have 3 persons and a dog at the time of reservation. Thanks so much!

Q:

Please describe the bathroom facilities for the cottages [stall shower, tub, tub shower, sink, commode, etc.]. Thanks!

David H.  asked on  Apr 24, 2013

A:

All cottages and motel rooms have toilet, sink, shower. Each cottage bathroom varies in size. Cottage 2 has wheelin shower compliant with ADA requirements. The only accomodations onthe property with a tub is the rental apartment which would be an upgrade from a one bedroom cottage. All cottages and motel rooms for this offer have a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot. Some cottages have kitchenettes.
