Award-Winning Fitness and Nutrition Program in Chicagoland
On the 16th season of The Biggest Loser, 20 former athletes are striving to get back in shape and change their lives for the better. These former NFL players and Olympic gold medalists are relying on the show’s certified trainers and nutritionists—as well as their own hard work—to lose weight and keep it off by adopting a healthier lifestyle. In past seasons, winners have lost up to 150 pounds and completely reshaped their bodies on the show.
This mission is shared by the Biggest Loser Resort Chicago. But instead of a high-stakes competition, the resort fosters an inclusive, supportive environment. Its team of professional trainers and nutritionists prescribe a regimen of strict exercise and nutritional education aimed at creating lasting change. The program is open to people of all fitness levels and physiques, and staff members are there every step of the way to help guests stay motivated.
This deal includes three types of programs: a weeklong retreat with nightly accommodations, a weeklong in-town program (no resort accommodations), and private fitness and nutritional training (no resort accommodations here either).
A typical day at the Biggest Loser Resort includes fitness, wellness education, camaraderie with other participants, and some hearty but healthy food. Besides three square meals designed by dietitians and executive chefs, an itinerary might include fitness classes, open gym time, an outdoor hike, cooking demos, and strength circuit training.
By mid-evening, you’ve earned some time to relax. Take a stroll through the grounds, head to the spa, or simply hang out in your PURE allergy-friendly room with a good book. Or, if you’ve opted for the in-town program or private training sessions, you can go back to your own home. Option 3 is designed for local guests who wish to fully participate yet return home each evening. The in-town program offers all the features of overnight packages.
Workout amid Water and Rolling Hills
The resort’s 260-acre property isn’t just an oversized gym—offerings include an indoor aquatic center, outdoor pools, and a 27-hole golf course. Located near Chicago and O’Hare airport, the expansive outdoor landscape allows for seasonal workouts so guests can get some fresh air in the spring or hit the pool in the dead of winter. This facility also boasts an onsite spa where you can pamper yourself with services like facials, body treatments, and acupuncture after a hard day of working out (spa services not included with your stay).
Learn to Maintain a Healthy Lifestyle
The Biggest Loser Resort’s nutritional program isn’t a diet—it’s a comprehensive program designed to change the way participants think about and interact with food. To that end, a team of registered dietitians, nutritionists, life coaches, and chefs lead educational classes and lectures. Subjects covered include portion control, intuitive eating, and product-label reading so that guests can continue to make smart choices once they return to their everyday lives.
