Santa Rosa Beach, Florida: Pristine White Sand Beaches along Florida’s Emerald Coast
There are nice Florida beaches—and then there are gorgeous Florida beaches, like the ones found in the panhandle town of Santa Rosa Beach. Perched along Florida’s “Emerald Coast” and sandwiched between the Gulf Coast and Choctawhatchee Bay, Santa Rosa Beach’s namesake sugar-sand shore is uncrowded, unlike other Florida beaches. The aqua blue water lures in swimmers, snorkelers, stand-up paddle-boarders, and fishermen.
There are two gorgeous state parks along the Gulf to take advantage of Santa Rosa Beach: Topsail Hill Preserve State Park, known for its coastal lakes and undulating sand dunes, and Grayton Beach State Park, a peaceful and secluded beach with a 4-mile hiking and biking trail.
