Thank you, Ace! The staff at Ace NYC have the patience and hustle of exactly who you hope to connect with when visiting the hotel's very business neighborhood. The building has the charm and soul that 'modern' hotels tend to lose, and the personality of the brand is through and through. But again, even better than the extremely comfortable bed and quiet rooms (despite the hubbub of the hotel lounge at night and the neighborhood in general), are the people who help move the day along. I lived in NYC for about 15 years, and visiting the Ace NYC gives me a little shot of what I've missed while away, without crowding the experience with the parts of busy New York I wasn't sad to let go of a bit. Freddy at the front desk is a hero and made me feel like an old friend back for a visit, and the extremely hardworking barista managed the job of three in the mornings, and always with kindness and efficiency. Can't wait to visit again.

Breakfast issues No breakfast at the weekends - they do brunch at 10 -am. Have to wait in line for coffee instead / go somewhere else. Waiting for pastries in a line for 30 mins as a means of feeding your guests is really bad. No lemon to put in drinks. Staff perky despite all the shortcomings

Can’t wait to come back! Loved staying at an Ace, the vibe is always fun in every city I’ve visited them in. This trip was made extra special by Freddy at the front desk. We felt like we had an instant friend to assist us. He was so helpful and thoughtful during our stay. Makes such a difference when someone goes above and beyond to make your trip special.

NO AIR-CONDITIONING - AVOID I was so eager to sit in an air conditioned space and found that my room is quite warm with no air conditions controls. I chatted with the front desk immediately and was told that I can have a fan. That’s insane. There was no alert before I inquired about where HVAC controls are.

Comfortable rooms and people! The staff - front desk, maintenance and housekeeping - was friendly and helpful. I was traveling alone and needed some help finding food, the train, etc. and they were great. Also, the coffee shop is was good. I went there on both days for coffee, along with yogurt and pastries, and it was very good. Thank you!
