Niagara Falls, Ontario: Panoramic Views of the Falls near Vegas-Style Casinos and Water Parks

At Niagara Falls, water thunders downward from a height of nearly 200 feet, crashing onto craggy boulders below. The falls straddle the border between Canada and the United States, but the Canadian side of the Niagara River is universally hailed as the finest vantage point to take in all three of Niagara Falls' photogenic brinks: American, Bridal Veil, and Horseshoe Falls.

Hornblower cruises ferry raincoat-clad passengers around the base of the falls from April to October, depending on the river's ice conditions. Year-round, Journey Behind the Falls grants a glimpse behind the curtain of Horseshoe Falls—visitors board an elevator that descends 150 feet into the bedrock, then stand at an observation deck steps from the cascading water. A 10-minute walk from the falls is the neon-lit Clifton Hill neighborhood. Its Fallsview Boulevard has plenty of Vegas-style kitsch, including glitzy casinos and indoor water parks.

Fun waterpark, but horrendous internet and restaurant experience The waterpark is good. Our woom was nice, but our balcony overlooked the parking lot. There were some rooms with a view of this beautiful picturesque park / quiet space, but I would imagine those are the very expensive / fancy rooms. The Wi-Fi is horrendous. After attemping to connect several times, I just opted to use my data. I was breastfeeding at the time of our stay so I woke up at around 3:30am to pump some milk. I figured the Wi-Fi must be good at that time, because how many people could possibly be using it. Despite is clearly not being peak usage time, it was still incredibly slow / nothing would load. There is nothing more frustrating than lagging internet. We tried to go to Boston Pizza at the hotel for supper, but despite the restaurant being half empty, we were told that it would be about a 20 mins wait because the kitchen needed time to catch up. We said that's fine, and asked if we could just sit at one of the many empty tables while we waited. They said no, and that they would call us when they were ready to seat us. We decided to go eat elsewhere.

Okay family stay Stayed 2 nights. Hotel is tired. We were in a junior suite. Room was cleanish, some trash had been missed - our four year old found an old and hairy gummy bear, a lid from a juice container and some other wrappers. Few stray hairs, stains of the curtains and bed frame nothing crazy….The front desk admitted they had a very busy week, lots of people were trying for early check in.. I’m empathetic, may have impacted the room. The bunkbed area had a small cutout to the main room and the area was taped sloppily to hold down peeling walls. But the biggest challenge in our stay was soundproofing, there seems to be little between the floor levels and to the hallway. At our son’s bedtime (admittedly early) we could clearly hear kids playing and jumping on the floor above us and in the hallway. Amenities are okay. Our son enjoyed the waterpark, arcade and playground. There were sufficient options that were within his age and ability. It’s well located and more affordable than staying closer to the falls. Recommend budgeting for breakfast - the food is adequate but didn’t seem to match the price point. Also opened later than I would think for a hotel with lots of littles (8am). Overall I’d say a positive stay but with some investment and attention to detail would choose over great wolf lodge (or similar) for people looking for a bit lower key family stay, especially with younger kids.

A good place with more potential to be better. A good place with well equipped rooms, very clean, great place for families with children, the water park is not that big but it's good enough and entertaining. Seeing some people with clothes in the pool and water park area is annoying and for sure it's not hygienic since they don't use proper swimming suits and enter the water with clothes _. I strongly suggest the management board to reconsider the water park dress code strictly. Paid parking is not an acceptable option but it's not bothering that much. Avoid being there on weekends, it is worth it to apply for two days leave and go there in the middle of the week.
