Hazard in room Upon entering the room the smell was overpowering of chlorine /bleach ...having had a long flight we sat on the bed and tried to rest ..the smell was got too much to stand .We then noticed an electrical box type fan on the dresser , it clearly stated on the top not to be used in occupied spaces ! ...We then went on to find it was an ozone remover ,for taking bad smell out of the air , very powerful and it can cause irritation ..The room must be ventilated thourough after use it states ..Problem being , there are no windows opening outside in the room we had ! We then went to reception and explained ,showed a photo of the ozone box and the guy did move us into another room ..we couldn't get that awful smell out of our noses ..I emailed the hotel following our check out 3 times and nobody has got back to me ...that ozone box should not have been used in that unventilated room and should not have been left in there ..

Location A+….Amenities Solid B LOCATION…LOCATION…LOCATION…SOLID B hotel as far as amenities…room 116…smallish room (I read where someone said old holiday inn redone…I’d believe it)…clean..soft beds…great linens (duvet)…hot water and cold ac…4 pillows on each twin bed…solid…no vending machines, but Trader Joe’s 2 blocks away… LOCATION: right across from Saint Paul Station on T Line…perfect…we rode to Fenway in under 10 minutes…the T line here is safe, clean and pretty much on time…was here 3 days and used it extensively…rode to North Station and took commuter train for day trip to Salem (daughter loved Salem…nice day)…tip on T line…you can pay using a chip card that will “tap pay”…no need for pass All in all it was $1k for 3 nights…upper end of what I’m used to on price, but not bad for Boston and this close to downtown…I never rent cars …we T lined quite a bit and ride shared the rest Breakfast was pastries and fruit…good coffee Would I stay here again? Absolutely

Mixed Experience-One Great Employee, Many Disappointments My recent four nights stay at the Arcadian Hotel was a mix of positives and disappointments. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by a gentleman at the front desk, who is kind, welcoming and professional. He made a great first impression. I truly wish I had caught his name because he went above and beyond for us later during our stay. The room itself was clean and decent, though it didn’t have any windows which made it feel a bit closed in the bed was too firm for my liking so I didn’t find it very comfortable for the first few nights. The AC worked fine but on the third night is suddenly stopped. We reported it to the front desk and while they said it would be taken care of. We return the next day to find the room clean, but the AC is still broken.Thankfully, the same kind employee who originally checked us in was on shift again he helped us move to another room, just a few doors down and even assisted with our bags his helpfulness really stood out in and otherwise frustrating situation. Unfortunately, the overall customer service at this hotel left a lot to be desired. Most of the staff seem uninterested and unapproachable. They spoke too quickly. They didn’t take the time to ensure guest understood what was being said, and overall lack basic professionalism and people skills when I checked out, the employee barely acknowledge me. He didn’t ask how my day was spoken, a dull monotone voice and didn’t even offer a smile. It felt like they didn’t want to be there. The hotel’s best feature is it’s convenient location, which makes it easy to get around, but sadly that’s not enough for me to consider staying again. I sincerely hope management reads this and takes action to improve the staff training and overall attitude. It’s unfortunate that one outstanding employee stood out so much simply because the rest of the team didn’t match his level of service.
