Avoid at all costs Ended up at the Atrium Hotel and Suites because American Airlines gave me a voucher. Pretty sure this place stays in business purely from stranded airline passengers. It is easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The whole building feels depressing. You can clearly see where they just paint over old damage every few years. Total landlord special. They also use these blinding cool white bulbs everywhere. Comedic. It makes the lobby, hallways, and rooms feel terrible instead of somewhere you want to relax. The front desk staff was friendly The details: • Room (1/5): So dated and grimy. Zero care put into the upkeep. • The Bed (1/5): Ridiculously uncomfortable. Had a completely horrible night of sleep. • Air Conditioning (1/5): Woke us up at 1:30 in the morning with a loud screeching noise. We actually had to pack up and move to a different room right then. Even if the airline gives you a free night, the time wasted getting here from the airport is a major downside. Do not accept the voucher. Shame on American Airlines for partnering with this property. Avoid it at all costs.

Don’t bother with the shuttle! If you plan to use the shuttle to pick you up at the airport from terminal E, do not count on it. After at least ten phone calls and the use of the shuttle app, we finally ubered after a 1.5 hour wait at DFW. Then when you get to the hotel they pretend that it’s your fault - and say a shuttle was there. We also talked to other people who had the same experience- the shuttle never came to their terminal. The only people we met who got a shuttle were in terminal A. Also when departing the hotel at five am in 40 degree temperatures the shuttle was freezing and blowing cold air. Finally they drop everyone off at Terminal D and not at the TSA checkpoint so plan on extra time, walking and using the train if you are not departing from that terminal. Hopefully American Airlines will find a different hotel for their passengers.

Convenient near Dallas airport. Atrium Hotel is convenient for staying near the airport. The service is good, the restaurant offers great food, the gym was a pleasant surprise, and the room was very spacious. A great option for a couple of nights when passing through Dallas.
