North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina: Sandy Beaches, Fresh Seafood, and Classic Amusement-Park Rides

North Myrtle Beach is at the tip of South Carolina's Grand Strand, a 60-mile stretch of white, sandy beaches along the Atlantic seaboard that draws surfers, fishers, and kayakers. The town's Cherry Grove Pier bustles with activity during the fishing season, and you can rent a rod nearby to take your place alongside veteran anglers. Nearby restaurants serve up fresh, cooked-to-order crab, shrimp, and fish.

About a half-hour southwest of North Myrtle Beach is Myrtle Beach proper, which USA Today named one of the best family vacation spots in the United States, in part because of its wooden boardwalk, which stretches for more than a mile and buzzes with carnival games and amusement-park rides. Hop into the SkyWheel's glass-floored gondolas, surrounded by more than a million LED lights, for a panoramic view of the city.

Rudeness at front counter check in and check out Well the desk people were very rude very rude was planning to stay two weeks hadn’t never been there before and thought it would be a nice place but then they started switching room charge me for an extra night. We did not stay. overall, it was a bad decision to stay there. Told us they needed the room and we were the only ones on the whole floor that we had to move immediately to the other room they had for us so we just picked up and left front desk would not give us the money back for the night. We didn’t stay. Don’t know her name but the woman with the long black hair was the rudest could not experience the rest of the resort for the business going on at front desk may very well be a nice place but never got a chance to see it on count the rudeness at front desk and the cleaning crew

More than expected We stayed here for a 4 night 5 day visit. The rooms were more than we expected. They have 2 double beds in a separate room and 1 murphy bed in the living room. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. You have a fully stocked kitchen and a stackable washer/dryer in the hall way. They provide you with dish detergent, washing powder, etc.. There is also a dishwasher in the room. In the living area you have a couch, chair, some have an ottoman with the chair, ours didn't. Large TV with a DVD player if you want to use it, coffee table and end tables, and chairs on the balcony. The room was very clean. We were in room 108 and the balcony for that room is right over the pool area, but it's one of the larger balconys they have. The room was located in the middle of the north and south towers so we were close to the restaurant, and elevators. Overall it was a great stay.
