Atlantic City, New Jersey: Casinos and Carnival Rides Lining Historical Beachside Boardwalk

No trip to Atlantic City is complete without a stroll along its signature boardwalk, which stretches for 6 miles along New Jersey's eastern coast. Originally built in 1870 to keep sand out of hotel lobbies, the boardwalk grew in popularity as a place where you could drink and gamble during Prohibition without much trouble from the police, as depicted in HBO's Boardwalk Empire. The boardwalk is still popular for its casinos, but it's family-friendly, too; visitors are just as inclined to sit at the beach or stop at one of the many carnival rides.

On the boardwalk, it's worth it to check out the Absecon Lighthouse, which is more than 150 years old. It's possible to climb its 228 steps to the top, which features sweeping views of the city skyline and the sea.

My first time at Bally’s AC was absolutely fantastic❤️❤️❤️ I have never stayed at Bally‘s in Atlantic City before. I called there to get show tickets and a host from Bally’s by the name of Johnny. Luis contacted me and my experience started from there. I was met with exceptional service, guidance and was treated like an absolute princess. They gave me the most beautiful outstanding room with amazing views. I was invited to the Best steakhouse it was the prime steakhouse that’s brand new and absolutely delicious. I also got access to the lounge which is which was an exceptional experience with beautiful views and great food and drinks. The one on one hospitality and VIP experience was beyond exceptional. Also, the valet parking was wonderful. The only problem I had with that was they didn’t have valet parking on Sunday or Monday. I really did not like their South Park garage. It was very inconvenient but what can you do not everything is perfect. There is a little bit of unwanted element visiting the place, but there is a large amount of security on site it was extremely safe to be there. The room was exceptionally clean and the service was beyond exceptional.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

A wonderful place in AC. I was able to get a room at Bally's, and I didn't know what to expect, since the last time I stayed there it was a Caesars property, and it was in the Claridge Tower. I was pleasantly surprised upon checking in, which the holiday decorations were displayed. Once, I entered the room in the Bally's Tower, it was clean and looked nice. The bed was comfortable, and I had fun in the casino. I did enjoy having breakfast in the Cafe, and I highly recommend the Banana's Foster French Toast. I hope I get to stay at Bally's again.

Bally's - Is Redemption Possible? I am currently staying at Bally's Atlantic City, and will be here until 11/02/2025. We have accommodations in the Tower, RM 3333. During the night of my first stay, we went to bed late in the evening and discovered the corners of the top sheet were ripped - actual holes! In addition, 2 of the washcloths were damaged. One had black stains, the other was tattered and ripped. The Akada brand linens they use need to be replaced. Why a housekeeper would keep such low-end items on hand for customer use is baffling to me. We did see a member of the housekeeping on staff early the next morning and we were told we'd have to call down to the front desk to request our room cleaned, which we did. After a day of shopping, we returned to the room in the same condition. No fresh linens & no trash disposal. We immediately called the front desk and requested to speak to a hotel manager on duty and we were placed on hold for such a lengthy amount of time, we had to go down to the front desk in person. We did speak to a lovely young woman at the front desk who patiently listened to my story and displayed the utmost professionalism as I went on my tirade. She apologized and actually said 'I understand, we have to do better'. She also informed me that upon check-in, I should have received a printout which detailed the housekeeping parameters and instructions. This was not given to me upon check in. I have booked at Bally's numerous times and stayed in the Tower as well as Dennis Towers and love them both. I consider this a premier property, however this experience is what I would expect from a Super 8. During the weekend of October 11 - 14, I reserved 5 rooms for friends to celebrate a 50th birthday and things were lovely, this really surprised me. I am on the fence regarding booking in the future. If they (BALLYS's) is able to make this right during our stay, redemption is possible.
